Sell My House Quickly

Recently due to my wife becoming pregnant I was left in a position where I had to sell my house quickly. I was left slightly at a loss of what to do due to the credit crunch leaving mortgages incredibly hard to come by. Although we knew this situation would soon right itself once the government started injecting extra cash in to the community, it didn't bode well in the short term for people like me trying to sell my house quickly.

After much fretting, we finally decided to make the most of this depressed period and rather than worry and struggle to make a sale, probably for less than the property is worth, we'd take the time to try and increase the overall value of the property. This way, we figured, when the housing market has recovered slightly the improvements to the house done in this time would help me to sell my house quickly.

The first thing we did was to completely retile the shower room and bathroom upstairs. Although they are kept clean, old grouting can never be made to look as good as new, and slightly lighter tiles brightened both rooms considerably. We then went on to strip off all the wallpaper in the lounge and hallway and paint it a neutral but light eggshell cream. Although the wallpaper still looked ok, it was a little tatty in places and the new colour scheme provides a blank canvas that any potential buyers can project their own ideas on, excellent help when trying to sell my house quickly.
